Every year I have the intention of getting some glorious series of landscape photos with beautiful barns on rolling hills of multi-colored trees. Every year I also forget that I live in central Illinois where Summer ends, the leaves start to change and then we get days of nothing but heavy rain and gusty winds that leave all of the trees bare.
Now it’s November. The light has been beautiful for the past few days and temperatures are high enough to wear short sleeves outside. Everything would be perfect if I could find more than a handful of trees that still had leaves.
Here are a few photos that I’ve managed to grab this year… I guess I’ll take what I can get for now.
yeah, last year i swore to myself that i wouldn’t miss the leaves this year, but of course i did. i say we make a pact to go on a photo safari to shawnee next year. you, colin, eric, amir, me, beer, photography, colorful leaves, some terrain. i say that sounds pretty awesome.
