Shooting Illinois football has been about as much fun as watching Illinois football… which means it’s sucked so far this year. On the plus side, I haven’t been booed at (yet) when I come back into the office.
Saturday’s game was the first start for backup quarterback Eddie McGee. I think the coaches were hoping a change would be enough of a spark to get something going. It didn’t work…
Eddie usually does well when he’s in… maybe the pressure of being the starter was a little more than he expected? His first touchdown pass of the game happened when he threw right to a Michigan State safety who ran the ball all the way in for a touchdown. I think that’s when they sent Juice back in as quarterback.
